Faithful Love

Faithful love flowing down from the thorn-covered crown,

makes me whole, saves my soul, washes whiter than snow.

Faithful love calms each fear, reaches down, dries each tear;

holds my hand when I can’t stand on my own.

(Chorus)

Faithful love from above came to earth to show the Father’s love.

And I’ll never be the same, for I’ve seen faithful love face to face.

And Jesus is His name.

Faithful love is a friend just when hope seems to end,

welcome face, sweet embrace, tender touch filled with grace.

Faithful love, endless power, living flame, Spirit’s fire;

Burning bright in the night, guiding my way.

(Chorus)

Faithful love from above came to earth to show the Father’s love.

And I’ll never be the same, for I’ve seen faithful love face to face.

And Jesus is His name.

___________________
here's mine:
1. My one highest desire is to follow Jesus and lift him high. To proclame His Love to every one on the face of this earth. To know Him as Lord of my life. To glorify Him and enjoy Him forever!

2. I am a big reader, I learned to read when I was seven. My favorite book of the bible is Exodus I really like to read the prophet books of the bible especially Jeremiah, Isaiah, Habakkuk and Joel. Of the new testament I like Luke, Revelations is one of my favorites,Ephesians, I&II Corinthians,............. Some of my favorite books to read are: "The rare collectors series",(and my favorites out of them are "The Lamp Lighter" and "House Of Love") "The Door In The Wall", "A Home For Bunny" was my favorite to check out at the library as a child, "Little Lips Shall Praise Thee" was my favorite quiet-time book when I was little.

3. I love to sing. I like to sing really loud, just letting it all out. I love to sing together with all those that I love. Doing this:"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord"Here are some of my favorite songs to sing: Jesus All For Jesus, What A Friend We Have in Jesus, Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing, Be Thou My Vision, The Battle Belongs To The Lord, I Cannot Tell, He's The Lily Of The Valley, There's A Mighty River Flowing, Morning Has Broken, Days Of Elijah, Jesus Be My Heart's Desire, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee, and many many more!I have been playing the guitar for seven years. I have been playing/practicing the fiddle/violin for three years. Nine years ago on a thanksgiving evening I was at a friends house, one of their girls was playing a violin. Ever since that day I have had the desire to master this instrument. I love to turn my thoughts into song. The Lord has gifted me with some very special songs that are strait from His heart to mine. I want my voice to be always for the Lord, I have given it to Him. I want others to see and hear Him and Him alone!

4. I like to knit,make yarn from our sheep and dye it with wild crafted dyes that I find out in the woods. I like to make felt with the wool. I want to make a felt rug. I like to do things that people did thousands of years ago. Figuring out how to make stuff without all this modern junk. Like, making cheese without any mold powders and cultures, Making bread without any yeast, preserving fruits and vegetables without canning or freezing. I really like ethnic ways of living and regional living. Wearing international old world style clothes. Making natural leaven flat breads on a clay oven. Cooking over an open fire. Basket weaving with wild crafted materials that I gather along the roads, rivers and hedges.Wild berry picking with my family. Picking morels

5. I love the snow! cross country skiing is my winter pastime. I love my Lake! I like BIG trees. I like to walk in the woods.I love fall colors. I really want a horse. There are so many trails around here that would be just perfect for a horse and rider.I like dressing up little kittens. Taking walks with a little child on my shoulders.
It is hard for me to write letters,but I like getting letters in the mail. So as you can probably understand it is a very rare and exciting happening when I find a letter addressed to me!
I have a green an yellow parakeet her name is Forsythia. I really like circle skirts. and fancy blouses

6. My favorite flower is the pansy. My mother got me a pansy mug for my birthday years ago, it is a treasure to me.
I love to have tea. I tried to have a tea party once. Everything turned out wrong! The cake tasted like bread with sweet butter. Nobody wanted tea, as it was so hot(it was in hottest time of summer!) I invited five friends, every one just wanted to drink the lemonade. The nice thing to be glad about was that I was with my dearest friends.

7. I like to stay up almost all night on new years eve. Me and my sister always plan something to do to celebrate. Two years ago we stayed up until two o clock in the morning, running barefoot races in the snow under the moonlight, rolling in big snow drifts until we were covered from head to feet in powdery snow then we came in. Slowly our nightgowns are thawing out and getting damp. We go up stairs trying to be quiet so as not to wake the ones who have already been sleeping for awhile. Then we dress up all prim and proper like ladies and have "tea" with our dollies and pretend we are little girls once again!I love doing enjoyable things with my younger sister.

Thanks that was fun!
I award:
You!
If you do this leave me a comment so I can read yours:)

Streams in the Desert - Nov. 22 by L.B Cowman

"He worketh" (Ps. 37:5).

The translation that we find in Young of "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass," reads: "Roll upon Jehovah thy way; trust upon him: and he worketh."

It calls our attention to the immediate action of God when we truly commit, or roll out of our hands into His, the burden of whatever kind it may be; a way of sorrow, of difficulty, of physical need, or of anxiety for the conversion of some dear one.

"He worketh." When? Now. We are so in danger of postponing our expectation of His acceptance of the trust, and His undertaking to accomplish what we ask Him to do, instead of saying as we commit, "He worketh." "He worketh" even now; and praise Him that it is so.

The very expectancy enables the Holy Spirit to do the very thing we have rolled upon Him. It is out of our reach. We are not trying to do it any more. "He worketh!"

Let us take the comfort out of it and not put our hands on it again. Oh, what a relief it brings! He is really working on the difficulty.

But someone may say, "I see no results." Never mind. "He worketh," if you have rolled it over and are looking to Jesus to do it. Faith may be tested, but "He worketh"; the Word is sure! --V. H. F.

"I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me" (Ps. 57:2).

The beautiful old translation says, "He shall perform the cause which I have in hand." Does not that make it very real to us today? Just the very thing that "I have in hand"--my own particular bit of work today, this cause that I cannot manage, this thing that I undertook in miscalculation of my own powers--this is what I may ask Him to do "for me," and rest assured that He will perform it. "The wise and their works are in the hands of God." --Havergal

The Lord will go through with His covenant engagements. Whatever He takes in hand He will accomplish; hence past mercies are guarantees for the future and admirable reasons for continuing to cry unto Him. --C. H. Spurgeon

    Today I made truffles, yesterday I made a felt bag. Today for dinner I made grilled chicken fajitas It was so delicious! our chicken, my brothers beans, my Marilla Cheese, and this summer's Roasted tomato salsa umm!
    Tonight the moon is so beautiful! it is in the west getting ready to set. This always reminds me of something in this life getting ready be done.
    When the moon sets in the west and grows dim I like to think of the sun that will rise in the morning.
    God is bringing new horizons in my life. I will wait for the Son and when He arises in my life in a new day, I will turn my unveiled face to Him to reflect the light of His Glory! I will go with Him through that day and rejoice for the next. I am ever looking to Him in this life. He has prepared me for something perfect and beautiful to Him. For the Joy that is set before me I will endure the cross. I want to be just like the one who has gone before me.
    He is my Light, He is my strength,He is my song, He is my peace ,He is my all ,in Him I live ,in Him I move ,in Him I have my being,
    All glory to Him!

    Night sky...

    To night the stars are so bright and beautiful! I went out to Duda's hill to lay down and gaze up at the large expanse of the heavens. I am always in awe of my Creator when I look at His handiwork! Tonight I saw two very beautiful falling stars. I wanted to stay out there to wait for more but it is so"brr" out there so... I remembered my warm pillow and blankets upstairs,the cookstove in the kitchen and knew that I should be there. And because tomorrow is Daddy's birthday
    and we all are getting up early to clean and tidy the house. For my sister and her family are coming for dinner of squirrel stew, hubbard, cheese, mama's bread, and what ever we think of more tomorrow... so I better go...Gute Nacht!

    Psalm 19

    1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

    2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

    3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

    4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

    5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

    6His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

    Streams in the Desert - Nov. 15 by L.B. Cowman

    Can Thine Heart Endure?

    "We know not what we should pray for as we ought" (Rom. 8:26).

    Much that perplexes us in our Christian experience is but the answer to our prayers. We pray for patience, and our Father sends those who tax us to the utmost; for "tribulation worketh patience."

    We pray for submission, and God sends sufferings; for "we learn obedience by the things we suffer."

    We pray for unselfishness, and God gives us opportunities to sacrifice ourselves by thinking on the things of others, and by laying down our lives for the brethren.

    We pray for strength and humility, and some messenger of Satan torments us until we lie in the dust crying for its removal.

    We pray, "Lord, increase our faith," and money takes wings; or the children are alarmingly ill; or a servant comes who is careless, extravagant, untidy or slow, or some hitherto unknown trial calls for an increase of faith along a line where we have not needed to exercise much faith before.

    We pray for the Lamb-life, and are given a portion of lowly service, or we are injured and must seek no redress; for "he was led as a lamb to the slaughter and… opened not his mouth."

    We pray for gentleness, and there comes a perfect storm of temptation to harshness and irritability. We pray for quietness, and every nerve is strung to the utmost tension, so that looking to Him we may learn that when He giveth quietness, no one can make trouble.

    We pray for love, and God sends peculiar suffering and puts us with apparently unlovely people, and lets them say things which rasp the nerves and lacerate the heart; for love suffereth long and is kind, love is not impolite, love is not provoked. LOVE BEARETH ALL THINGS, believeth, hopeth and endureth, love never faileth. We pray for likeness to Jesus, and the answer is, "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." "Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong?" "Are ye able?"

    The way to peace and victory is to accept every circumstance, every trial, straight from the hand of a loving Father; and to live up in the heavenly places, above the clouds, in the very presence of the Throne, and to look down from the Glory upon our environment as lovingly and divinely appointed. --Selected

    I prayed for strength, and then I lost awhile
    All sense of nearness, human and divine;
    The love I leaned on failed and pierced my heart,
    The hands I clung to loosed themselves from mine;

    But while I swayed, weak, trembling, and alone,
    The everlasting arms upheld my own.

    I prayed for light; the sun went down in clouds,
    The moon was darkened by a misty doubt,
    The stars of heaven were dimmed by earthly fears,
    And all my little candle flames burned out;

    But while I sat in shadow, wrapped in night,
    The face of Christ made all the darkness bright.

    I prayed for peace, and dreamed of restful ease,
    A slumber drugged from pain, a hushed repose;
    Above my head the skies were black with storm,
    And fiercer grew the onslaught of my foes;

    But while the battle raged, and wild winds blew,
    I heard His voice and Perfect peace I knew.

    I thank Thee, Lord, Thou wert too wise to heed
    My feeble prayers, and answer as I sought,
    Since these rich gifts Thy bounty has bestowed
    Have brought me more than all I asked or thought;

    Giver of good, so answer each request
    With Thine own giving, better than my best.

    recipe for the Pies

    Here is the recipe for the Pies that I made:

    ~Delicious Apple Pie~

    5 cups peeled,and sliced apples.
    (I did five large wolf river apples)
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
    4 Tablespoons flour
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon mace
    Juice and grated rind of organic lemon
    ( I just remembered as I am typing this that I forgot to put the juice in! oh well I hope it will be ok! The pies are in the oven right now! so how ever they turn out will have to be just fine!)

    2 9'' pie shells
    2 Tablespoons butter

    In a large bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. Line a pie pan with pastry, add the apple mixture, dot with butter . Cover the pie with the top round of pastry. Seal and crimp the edges. Cut a vent to let the steam escape. Brush the top of pastry with a small amount if milk, then sprinkle with a little cane juice crystals to make the crust brown nicely. Bake at 4000F for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 3750F and bake for 50 minutes longer, or until the apples are tender and crust is browned. Makes 1 pie serves 6 to 8

    ~ Crust Recipe~

    1 1/2 cups sifted flour
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup of lard
    ( if you don't have home grown lard then don't even think about using lard from the store, use butter)
    1/4 cup milk

    sift together the flour and salt. Add the lard,chilled,and blend the mixture until it resembles meal, using the fingers or a pastry blender. Add milk by tablespoonfuls, sprinkling it over the flour mixture and tossing the mixture with a fork until the milk is incorporated. Form dough into a ball, kneading it lightly against a smooth surface or the side of the bowl for only a few
    seconds, until a smooth ball forms. Wrap the dough in waxed paper and chill it for one hour
    before rolling it out on a lightly floured board. Makes one single 8'' or 9'' pie shell This recipe may be doubled or tripled.

    I'm makin' pie!...

    ...and working on a cheese!
    Reblochon
    It is a soft washed- rind cheese made in the mountains of France. It is a rich, creamy cheese, almost like Brie in consistency
    It will be done in four to five weeks.
