today...

We had such a wonderful time visiting with a couple that we met at the market. They came and had a meal with us. They are such fun people and are enjoyable to be with. I am so thankful that God brought them into our lives.
This week I cleaned and organized my room and stored away my winter clothes.
I have been gathering wild herbs for tisanes and infusions in the winter. I am drying them in the loft in my room and also on the herb drying racks that are in my room. I have been doing sewing, sewing little pants, shirts and dresses. So far I have two dresses and three pants and three shirts. I am working on another dress. I am making them all out of my old clothes that I don't want any more. I am storing them away for little ones that may come into my life that may need them. Mama has been doing alot of baking and making things for our "bread Today" customers. Alot of people came today to pick up their stuff. It is so nice to see pleasant smiling faces. I am so happy! Jesus is my joy! He brought me out to bring me in He broke the power of death and sin I needed someone to come and reign within, and now I'm free this very hour alive by faith and filled with power, Christ Jesus brought me out so He could bring me in. He has done it! He is alive in me! I will keep my focus on Him. I can look to and think about something that I want, and want right now. That can take my eyes off of Him and what He has for me right now. He knows my desires and what my heart is longing for and He knows that in His time He will bring me to the place that He is preparing me for.

You have given me breath to sing. For this I am thankful. I can not live without you. As I walk this way, as you hold my hand, as you take me on, I know that your love is with me and it goes on and on. In this life there are many horizons that I do not know, but I wait in expectation for what is to come, and in this place I have found rest and joy and peace. This place is you. You have brought me to this place. You have prepared this place for me. Will it ever be that everyone knows this place? How will you draw them? A light is shining and it is bright and the eyes of the blind are being opened and the lame are walking and the sick are made well. Rejoice for the Lord our God is strong to save. He will deliver from the bondage of death and bring life to the ones in darkness. Have hope and look to the one who is delivering all and bringing all into His light and life. He is springing up a well of water in the dry place. Come and drink of this water. He is this water. Like a mighty river His spirit flows through and washes and works an inward cleansing, bringing deliverance and making whole the heart that was broken. His spirit dwells within the heart and rules the whole body. Step into this river and let Him wash and bring deliverance to your soul. Take no thought for saving your life. You life is not your own. Let Him flood your soul and carry you away and let you and yourself and all that you want and your will, and give it all to Him and be lost in Him. All will know and see Christ Jesus and bow down before him and worship Him, and know that He is Lord of their life. "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, of things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" phil. 2:10-11. There will be a time that all will come to know Jesus as their Lord and will bow before him and fall on their knees and worship Him. He has drawn me and is drawing me closer to Himself each day. So He can work in any heart even a heart as hard as a stone. All men will come to the light and see the face of God. "All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee.

For the Kingdom is the Lord's: and He is the governor among the nations.

All they that be fat upon the earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: and none can keep his own soul alive.

A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this". Ps. 22:27:31

When I see the people around me that God has created for his pleasure. I see hearts that are made to love and to know love, the love of the Father. They will know this love though Jesus. Jesus is coming to the hearts and is healing them. He is healing the nations. He is bringing them unto himself and the light of Him. I find the best way to reach a heart that is needing him is by prayer. When He wants me to say something He will tell me. I want to be open to whatever Jesus has for me. What does He want me to do? What does He want me to say? Where does He want me to go? By His spirit He will make everything known. I will wait on the Lord and in His timing He will tell me.

Unless the Father draws him, no man can see His face, and when the Father draws him it is only by His grace. Oh Lord I pray you draw me with every breath I take and change my life forever that I may see your face.

Come and let us go unto the mountain of the Lord and to the house of our God. And He will teach us of His ways and we will walk in His path for the law shall go forth out of Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Jesus is Beautiful!
And Jesus makes beautiful things in my life.

Something so small inside, but I know it is alive. It was planted long ago, Before the earth began it was there and I know it will always be. And each day I can feel it closer and closer and it draws me closer still. Like a breeze on the wind I can feel it stronger and sometimes less but still the same it is always there. Softly and quietly it comes to stay and I know it is there, even when I do not see it. It was given by your hand and I will cherish it forever. And when my life is over it will still go on and on. It is you and what you are. You come and make it known to me in your lovely way that you have always done. Your life though me, flows on forever, It touches lives and spreads on forever. How beautiful! How beautiful the hands that move and the feet that walk and the mouth that speaks and the eyes that see and the ears that hear. The life that lives in you. And moves in you. How beautiful! The beloved and the lover of my soul. The one who I run to. My rock. My high tower, the forever abiding never ending love of my life.

The Weaker Vessel

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7
The teacup is very a fragile vessel, but used with tender care it can last a life time or more. It is also very beautiful. When sipping a tea with it, one will take much care to what they are holding in their hand than if they were drinking from a mug or cup. As women we are like this vessel, beautiful and unmarred made from the finest materials yet the most fragile. I like to picture the time when God first made woman and how beautiful her presence must have made the earth. I like to think of how it must have been for Adam after he awoke from his deep sleep to behold her in her pure beauty. Woman was taken out of man. As virgins we have a longing and hoping for the time when we can be brought back to the place where we have come from. Right now our husbands are in a deep sleep and God is bringing us to him. We are vessels and we are beautiful and God has a plan and a purpose for our lives. Some of us may be still in the mold,in the fire or being painted on, or even in the ground still in the raw form or are being used in the home or abroad. But all of us are being made into something beautiful and God has a clear vision of what we are to be. His hands have fashioned us and His work is outstandingly beautiful beyond any thing else!
While waiting, something that is good to do is, instead of getting our minds all worked up on the who, what, where, when, how and why thing and worry about how it is all going to work out in this life and what kind of man we are going to marry and if we will ever marry.
I have found that if I think about what kind of woman my husband is going to get, instead of what I am going to get. And focus on the now and where I am, and ask the Lord to work on my heart, to prepare me for what He has for me. In this I find such rest, and I no longer feel like I am wearing myself out by getting caught up and carried away in my thought life.
Right now even if there is not a man on the horizon, God is still bringing you to a man. He already knows and has it all laid out perfectly.
If everyone on the face of this earth was filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in Christ's ways, fully relying on the Lord, resting in Him, and having their eyes fixed on Him. There would be know more courtship, no more dating, no more confusing thoughts of wondering the big IF this is the right one, and fall outs of relationships that should have never been made. Everyone would be fully rested and trusting on the Lord taking one day at a time. I think as young women we can find a place of resting in Jesus in that he has everything in his hands and will work out everything in his time. Look to Him to work in your heart and mold you and make you into the image of his son. Give Him the desires of your heart and delight yourself in him and he will give you the desires of your heart. Find time to go before him in quietness and thank Him and praise Him for every thing He has done and is doing and will do in your life. Sing to him, sing praises to him. Glory in His name. Turn your eyes upon Jesus look full in his wonderful face and the things of this earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. He has made you beautiful and He is making every thing beautiful in you life. Let Him fill you, a beautiful fragile vessel with all that He has to give. And with what He gives you give unto others and more will be given to you. That is why we are here. He has made all things beautiful!

Spring! Oh how I love It!

He weighs 5 lb. 14 oz.

He is so cute! he has the cutest little baa. This time of the year is so nice. Spring, everything so fresh and new and full of life! Shwanli and Shneahopli are getting full with kids. I am sure they will give birth very soon. They waddle all over the place looking very big. We are letting the goats and the Shetland sheep free range and browse around the farm. We are waiting for the pasture to grow more and David ordered some new fencing. In a few weeks all the animals will be out on pasture free and happy with all there new little ones enjoying the green grass. The last two Shetland ewes are going to lamb any day now. Their udders are looking very full. The rest of the bigger sheep are going to have there lambs in May. I am getting more milk from Autumn. At the start I was getting less than a half pint now I am getting a little more than a pint. Plus what the kid is getting from her I think she is producing very well. She is a Alpine/Saanen/Nubian. The father is a Alpine/Nubian. That is where the floppy ears come from. :)I think it is so cute!

I am really looking forward to getting back in to cheese making. I checked out a cheese book at the library on monday. It is about all the different types of cheeses. I have not gotten a chance to look at it yet but I hope to tomorrow. The book is still in the truck and the truck was away most of the day today.

On sunday I borrowed two books from a friend and I have

finished the first one, titled Star Of Light by Patricia St. John.

I really like that one!

The second Book is titled The Lost Clue by Mrs. O. E. Walton.

I am reading this one right now.

It is very interesting. It is one of the books in the Lamplighter Rare Collectors Series.

Things that I am learning from the Lord. Contentment, Joy, peace,

controlling my anger and not bursting forth with it on others.

The Love of God, Trusting. I need prayer in these areas of my heart. I let the cares and concerns of this life pull me down and I act out in my flesh towards my family and those I love dearly.

I want to find rest in Christ, the place that He has prepared for me and stay there. A place where I am in Him and He in me and together one flesh moving and living and growing alive and maturing in work of the Lord.I must have His spirit in my daily

life alive and flourishing. I don't want to do any thing of my self any more. I am so selfish. When the things that I want to see God do in my life at a certain time that I think it must be done and when It does not happen, I get discouraged and think that it will never happen at all. When I am in this place of unhappiness and

despair. I find my self acting out towards others in a non Christ like way. I want to be delivered from this bondage.

Please pray for me.

Hello all!

I am once again so very tired. I always get on this computer very late and am not always in the mood to post! I just wanted to say hello to any of you that might be stopping by this blog.

I had a very fine day.

I took a nice walk today and went up to the bench in the wooded hills that overlooks the beautiful manistee river, the hills and caberfae peaks and beyond. I brought my knitting and got some done on the sock I am working on.

When I am up there I feel free and everything feels just right.

I can talk and sing my thoughts out to my Maker and He speaks His word to my heart. I feel close to God out there. I really can understand the meaning of these words:

Psalm 121

1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Our help comes from the Lord. This is what I am finding out. I can look to so many other things in this life to find fulfillment. But I can only find it in Christ alone. He is my only hope. I will stand in Him. All the things of this world have grown dim to my eyes. I can only see Jesus. I have desires in my heart. I want to be a wife and I want to walk with a man in this life and I want to share it with the one chosen for me. All these things are of this earth but they are a picture of the spiritual and heavenly things of God. If God is calling me and bringing me to a earthly man. I want to joyfully go with the flow. This life in Christ is like a river. I have stepped into this river and I am going where it is taking me. There are many bends and turns and I cannot see beyond where I am. In faith I have plunged my self into His life. I am carried away by His Love and washed, cleansed and purified. I can remember very clearly when He called me by name and filled me with His spirit. I was laying in my bed and crying out to Jesus and asking Him how I could be filled with with His spirit. He spoke and said: "You must believe. God above gives you the holy spirit. But you must believe that He is able and He is faithful and He will give you His holy spirit. You must believe." I told Him that I believed that He would give me His holy spirit. And right then and there He filled me. I felt like a fire and a cleansing went thought my whole soul. I felt so free and clean. Being filled with the spirit is not just a one time thing that happens and we can't just go on our way and think "Ok, I am free in Christ" No, it is a daily continual filling and being filled with the spirit. We must ask Jesus to come and continually daily fill us with His Holy spirit. Without His spirit we cannot live. We need to be alive and growing and active in Him. A continual walking and living in spirit and truth. I want His spirit to rule over my whole being. My thoughts, words, motives, attitude, eyes, ears, feet, hands, my will, my life. I give it all to Him. My mind can wander and wonder, what and when and where and how and who. But when my mind is stayed on Him I find perfect peace. This is where I want to stay.

In Him and Him alone-

I got some new sandals the other day when me and my sisters went out to town. I really like them!
I am hoping to do some picture posts soon about my weeks here.
But for now I will bid you all Good-night!

Looking forward to comments! :)

stuff I did today...

I made a batch of muffins for tomorrow's breakfast
made soup for dinner
Baked bread
Here is how the kitchen looks after a week of working in it.

Compare with the pictures I posted HERE

I put a hubbard squash and some ribs in the clay oven to slow cook over night. So... that takes care of tomorrow's meal. I did do dishes today even though it looks like I did not. There are just somedays when I can do them up really fast and other days when the pile just never seems to go away! I am really getting a longing to have a time when I can make a meal for just two people. I am content where I am right now. But sometimes the longing is really there. I don't think it is at all bad to have thoughts like this. Some might say that you should have your heart set on what is right now and not to wish for what is to come. But I think it is alright to dream. And give these desires to the Lord. And delight our selves in Him. And if we delight our selves in the Lord He will give us the desires of our hearts. God is bringing me to this place of resting in Him. He will give me the desires of my heart.

...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1 Corinthians 2: 9-12

I want to be fill with His Spirit. Daily alive and growing in the strength of the Lord! Don't you?
Let's press on toward the Goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I hope you all have a good night
I am tired, so I am off to bed.

He gave us today, and I am thankful

I worked on some pants that I started sewing yesterday, I cut them out about two years ago. I was not sure if they would still fit Nathanael. I am not much of a seamstress but when I do sew it is a lot of fun. I have one problem though, I start something and I do not finnish it until a long time. For an example, there is an unfinished dress upstairs waiting to be sewn and worn. I really want to get it done. I'll probably get it down one of these days and sew it up.

It took a while for me to figure out how I could sew the inner side seams, They would just not line up! I thought that if I could not get things to work out, they would have had to be worn like this!
Could this be called a pair of skants? (Sk-skirt, ants-pants)
I was able to make them go together. One leg is a little on the twisted side, but Nathanael says they fit very nicely. And I am glad he can wear them this way rather than that other way! :)
I am thinking of putting some belt loops on. It is a little loose on top.

For dinner I made a pot roast. It tasted really good. The spices I put in were cumin and mint. A good combo with Lamb. Remember this if you ever are wondering what to season lamb with.

~This picture was taken before the roast was all cooked~

Yesterday I took a long walk and ended up on a high wooded hill. There the view was so beautiful! I am going to go back there with a camera to get a picture of it.

Here's something that brought comfort to my heart this evening

Romans 8: 35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Another thing that encouraged me today I was chatting with a good friend and sister. I was telling her: "I can get so many desires in my heart and get overwelmed by it all.I want to go to other lands but then I wonder when and how I will ever get there. I want to be married and have a Godly husband. I wonder when It is all going to happen. I get discuraged because I feel like I am getting older and nothing is happening!"

she said: "I know how you feel. God gives grace, but it also helps to remember that Jesus was 30 before his ministry started."

That was so uplifting to my heart! The word of the Lord spoken to my heart through my sister brought cheer to my heart and It has brought me to a higher place in Him. I don't want to worry over the future. It is all in His hands and He knows the best for me. He has willed for me to live on this earth. He has given me breath, and with it I will praise Him!

I think that spring is finally here!

I think that spring is finally here!

I feel it in the breeze blowing thru my hair

I see it in sky and the trees

In the birds and the bees

My heart is singing, overflowing

With a sense of happiness and knowing,

That the things that once were cold and frozen

Will grow into what's been chosen

Last summer, a flower, then fading

Is now a seed in the cold earth.

Watching and still waiting

For a glorious new birth.

I will not think of darkness

I will not think of death

I will only think of the likeness

When Life blows the warmth of breath

A tiny sprout will grow up from the ground

The seed I thought was dead is found

much more glorious then the other

A life to share with one another.

Last summer's love is but a memory

Today is where I stand

And no matter what I see

Tomorrow is unfolded by the Master Gardener's hand.

Hi, this is what I am doing today!

I am off to take care of my nephews. I hope to do a post soon. We have one computer and 7 users. So it is hard to find a time when someone is not on. And I like to do a post when I have all my work done.
Maybe I'll do a post this evening, if I am not tired:) I am coming back at 6:00
I am enjoying the spring weather I is so bright and fresh out side! The birds singing and the sky so blue. I hope that spring is here to stay. But I am sure we will get one more dump of snow by good friday. Well good bye and talk to you latter!

I am blessed

I had a very nice birthday. Thanks to all of you who made my day special! I will be doing a picture post of what I did today. But for now I'll leave you with the last picture that was taken of me when I was still 20! Last night the power went out so I wrote in my daily journal by candle light. So old fashioned!
So good night my friends and dear ones. And please pray for me as I start this new year in my life. I do not know what the future holds for me. But I know who holds my hand. And the chief end of us all is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!

What do you think of Christmas and all the celebrations?, as the focus is slowly coming off Christ. Just interested on your thoughts of the subject.

Someone asked me the above question

This is what my Lord Jesus gave me to answer:
I have been born of God. Everything of the past is gone everything has become new. I love new Life! Jesus is Life and He has been from the beginning. He is the Word by which everything came into being. He has brought Life and Light into this dark world. Jesus said to remember him when we break bread and drink the fruit of the vine. This is a very good way to celebrate and worship Him and what he has done and is doing for us. I can do this throughout the whole year. I find great joy in it. When I break a piece of bread I remember how His Body was broken for us. When I drink of the pure new and fresh wine I remember how His Life, His own blood was poured out for us. His spirit being born in to a earthy body is something to rejoice and find great joy in. His spirit is in me He has come and He dwells in me and I in Him. He came to this earth so that I can walk just as He walked. He lived in a body just as I do. He is aquatinted with all my sorrows and joys, He understands me. He is what I find my joy,my Life ,my all in. In Him I live, in Him move, in Him I have my being. Each day is a gift from His hand. I take each one as it comes. Tomorrow is a gift from above. I don't know what He has for me then, but I know He will be with me.
Here is a writing that I found last night and I agree with the writer
I know that it is quite lengthly but it is well worth the read:

Merry Christmas - a familiar greeting heard ringing in the cities during the month of December. A festive attitude is in the air and you feel good about yourself, suddenly the world does not seem so bad. You feel like giving something to somebody, buying something, or just doing a kind deed. If you are a Christian, then this is about worshiping Christ. If you are not, then this is about family - they say.

It seems so spiritual. Christmas must be a good way to celebrate Christ’s birth, a good way to worship Him. However, like everything Disciples of Christ do, many are double-checking to see if their conduct during December is pleasing to God.

Some have asked, “Is celebration what God wants from me?” The answer is “yes.” Yes, God wants you to worship him. Yes, he wants gifts given and yes, he wants you to have a festive time while worshiping Him. The real question should be “How does God want me to worship Him?” Through His Word he has given guidelines for everyone to follow. Is the way you are worshiping Him during December the way He wants you to worship Him?

-Section Missing-

Is it Wrong to Observe Traditional Holy Days

Does this mean it is wrong to observe traditional holy days, like the Passover? The gospel of Mark addresses this issue:

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well yereject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (Mark 7:5-9)
In Colossians 2:16, it says “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days.” Does this mean I can celebrate holidays and be free from judgment? No. The term holy day is referring to the days under the traditional Jewish fasts and sacrifices. When Paul wrote this epistle, he was talking about holy days already in existence. The writer was including neither America’s Christmas nor any other future foreign traditions. In contrast, the term holiday, according to Princeton University, means “leisure time away from work devoted to rest or pleasure.” A holiday can celebrate anything for any reason. This scripture means someone should not pronounce a sentence on you because you have broken the traditional laws concerning meat and festivals.
Christ's death was the fulfilling of the law and it released everyone from needing to keep thetraditional days of the Jewish customs. Although many Christians today are not literal Jews, each Christian is a spiritual Jew - one who worships King Jesus in the New Jerusalem.
One may ask about Romans 14:5-6, where it says:

One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it.

Again, Paul is speaking of the Passover, the feast of tabernacles, and the other special festivals and fasts of the Jews. After Jesus came, these customs became needless to keep, being symbols of what the Messiah had just fulfilled.

For the first time, Gentiles (those not raised as Jews) could worship the God of Israel. The Gentiles often had no knowledge of Jewish tradition, neither was there a need to educate them to such. Paul is exhorting that whether the Jews retained their traditions of the holy days or the Gentiles failed to do so, there was no reason to place a judgment against either of them because both were worshiping in reverence to God. Whether you esteem every day the same for God or set aside a specific day to Him, either way the day is the Lords. Having said this, Paul cautions them to be convinced in their own mind: because anything a person does without faith to them, it becomes sin. Again, one can see that this scripture is referring to the Jewish holy days and not to foreign holidays.

In the scriptures, one learns that instead of keeping the traditions of a Pagan celebration, they should worship God by living free from sin and telling others of His goodness. In the Bible, Christ’s power over death is emphasized and not His birth.

The spirit of God's son has existed since the beginning of time. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. The Oxford Companion to the Bible explains thisWord was “a self-communicating divine presence that existed with God and was uniquely manifested in Jesus Christ.” The Word John is speaking about is “God's creative presence through which the world came into being” and later seen in Jesus as the redemptive or savior presence, necessary because people had rejected God the creator.

Overcoming sin is what is important to Christians. John 1:14 says “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” This Word was born of Mary and called Jesus. Upon His birth, He took on the human form so people could enter into the kingdom of God through righteousness and purity. He first dwelt in spirit with God, then He dwelt among men and now He reigns in heaven, sitting on the right hand of God, the father. Is there a particular day that is better for worshipping Christ than another? Everyday should be a birthday celebration - a celebration of sinners coming to repentance and being born into the kingdom: the kingdom that Jesus made available by His sinless death and resurrection.

The tradition of Christmas keeps Jesus as a harmless baby and Easter seems to keep him helpless on a tree. Christ’s resurrection to heaven from the grave and then into your life is the real reason for celebration. Being born-again and having received forgiveness of one’s sins is what individuals should be remembering each year.

Would you like to celebrate and rejoice over the same things as God? In the scriptures, Jesus said, “that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth.” You should rejoice as heaven does, when one soul comes to repentance. God’s word tells you to rejoice in persecution, to rejoice because He wrote your name in heaven, and to rejoice because God has avenged you of spiritual Babylon. By the way, the spirits born from spiritual Babylon are the same spirits that are behind Christmas.

Tradition brings bondage, albeit, through Christ you are made free. Christ wants you to celebrate Him being king in your life. You do this by living free from sin and proclaiming the great things He has done.

This Modern-Day Holiday Called Christmas

The first Christians did not worship the holiday called Christmas. They were opposed to many of its customs and they knew it came about by combining Judaism with Paganism. In particular, Christmas combines the worship of the god, Sol with the story of Jesus' birth.

Prior to AD 33, Heathens often celebrated the sun god Mithra, following the customs of Baal worship in Babylon. This was on December 25. After Rome asserted control over Greece, people renamed the sun godSol.

After AD 33, many people wanted to claim Christianity but still observe their Heathen ways. Some call these past customs Pagan but Jesus calls them Heathen. The term Heathen means foreign. The Bible teaches to abstain or stay away from foreign customs. It goes so far as to tell people not to even inquire into their customs. Throughout the Old Testament, God became angry over His people committing fornication and learning the foreigner’s ways. God said not to learn the Heathen’s traditions but to reprove and drive away their works.

To join the Israelites, a person had to denounce their past belief and take the vow of circumcision according to the Jewish law. Philippians 3:3 says, “For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” Paul said if you walk in the spirit, you would not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Instead of joining the celebrations of the Heathen, you should seek to have the world join you in your worship of Christ. Why should a commercialized holiday dictate how Christians worship God? Christians should be teaching the world how to worship God, in truth and in spirit.

How does one teach the world to worship in spirit? First, the sinner must allow God to rebuke satan from their lives. Jesus said, “it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” His spirit makes you alive, His words are spirit and they are life. God recorded His promises and commandments in the Bible so people would have access to them. He also reveals divine truth to His people, for the help of everyone.

Next, they must receive Jesus as their savior and become filled with the Holy Spirit, ask forgiveness of sins and repent of their old ways. They must receive the spirit because the spirit is what gives life. “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” .........
