I never know what to title it!

Here are some pictures of my doings today. Yes, they are kitchen pictures! Just for you Cora!
I seared and baked a chicken,
Made more bread,
~just put in the oven~
I am having so much fun making this bread. I finally got it down pat. All the credits go to my teacher, my dear mother. She is the top baker around here and it is because of her that I have been able to learn how to make and manage this art.

~now out of the oven to cool~
baked squash & potatoes,
did some kniting on a...
Knitting that I started yesterday
Baby cap! There is a baby shower on the 6th and I am making this gift for our friend who is going to have their third girl.
I am almost done with it and I am going to make some booties to go with.
David making pepperoni
My older brother has been working on butchering a hog for our sister and brother-in-law.

Well that is all the pictures that I took today to share with you,
I also did a little tidying of my room, I hardly ever get it totally tidy!
I worked on a really hard puzzle that my friend had on her blog if you would like to do it click HERE it is really fun!
I made a mattress this week for my self out of straw and a big sheet of strong muslin. So I guess. you could call it a straw-tick like They had in the days of Auld Lang Syne
It feels really comfy! I had been sleeping on a sleeping bag for four years. I liked it alot but I just wanted a change for a while. I like to have things as simple as possible. So don't feel bad for me at all for not having an American style bed.
Well good night
I am off to hit the hay, well in my case It would be straw!
good night my friends!

I Will Praise Him Still

When the morning falls on the farthest hill,
I will sing His name, I will praise Him still.
When dark trials come and my heart is filled,
With the weight of doubt I will praise Him,still
For the Lord our God He is strong to save,
From the arms of death, from the deepest grave,
And He gave us life in His perfect will,
And by His good grace I will praise Him still.

Felted boots! Do you want a pair?

For two years I have been trying to make a hand felted seamless pair of wool boots and this week I finally accomplished it! I made them over the course of two days. It was alot of work. I think that with practice I could make at least one pair in one day. Maybe on the next pair that I make I will get some pictures of the felting process. Everyone wants a pair now. So I have a line of orders! But I am sure that they will help with the work. I am going to put some design work on the upper part of the boots. I am going to put a deer leather cover on the bottom with ties that will lace up the boot and tie at the top. If you would like me to make you a pair let me know. we have alot of wool in storage and more growing in the barn!

Isaiah 42:1-4

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Isaiah 41

1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.
5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.
6 They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.
7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.
23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
29 Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

This is what I have been mediating on. This is an amazing chapter. This is what my God is doing right now in my life. He is opening rivers in high places and fountains in the valleys, He is making the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land springs of water. We can drink of these waters and live forever. He is holding my right hand. I will not fear. He will help me. I am poor and needy I am seeking for water, He hears me. He will not forsake me. A loving Father never forsakes His children. He is my God, He will strengthen me and help me. He will uphold me with the right hand of His righteousness. He is my friend. The Lord gives and He takes away. Over the past years alot of my friends have moved away and I do not see them any more and I am not a person who keeps in contact with others by phone and corresponding. So it has been a great time of aloneness with my Jesus. I have learned to be content with the path that He has lead me on. When I am alone with Him everything else fades away. He is my only friend. I thought I was all alone but then He whispered His gentle words to my heart "I have always been here, I will never leave you or forsake you, you are my friend". I am very thankful for my family they are my only friends on this earth. They bring great joy to my heart. I have a dream and desire and longing to go to somewhere to a people that do not know the love of Jesus. I am content if it is right here. If God wants me to be like a flower that blooms in a solitary place where no one passes by and I bloom and fade and am never known to anyone but the one who made me. I am content.

The Lord alone led Him. (Deuteronomy 32:12)

"The hill was steep, but cheered along the way
By converse sweet, I mounted on the thought
That so it might be till the height was reached;
But suddenly a narrow winding path
Appeared, and then the Master said, 'My child,
Here thou wilt safest walk with Me alone.'

"I trembled, yet my heart's deep trust replied,
'So be it, Lord.' He took my feeble hand
In His, accepting thus my will to yield Him
All, and to find all in Him.
One long, dark moment,
And no friend I saw, save Jesus only.

"But oh! so tenderly He led me on
And up, and spoke to me such words of cheer,
Such secret whisperings of His wondrous love,
That soon I told Him all my grief and fear,
And leaned on His strong arm confidingly.

"And then I found my footsteps quickened,
And light ineffable, the rugged way
Illumined, such light as only can be seen
In close companionship with God.

"A little while, and we shall meet again
The loved and lost; but in the rapturous joy
Of greetings, such as here we cannot know,
And happy song, and heavenly embraces,
And tender recollections rushing back
Of pilgrim life, methinks one memory
More dear and sacred than the rest, shall rise,

"And we who walk the golden street,
Shall oft be stirred to speak with grateful love
Of that dark day when Jesus bade us climb
Some narrow steep, leaning on Him alone."
"There is no high hill but beside some deep valley.
There is no birth without a pang."
--Dan Crawford
